Natasha Muskavitch
I am deeply committed to supporting children, couples, and families in overcoming challenges and fostering healthier, more fulfilling relationships. With a background in Psychology from the University of California, San Marcos, and as a current PhD candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University, I bring both academic rigor and clinical experience to my practice.
I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and have been practicing these approaches with couples, families, and children. My work is grounded in attachment theory and emotion-focused interventions that help clients create a deeper understanding, safety, and connection within their relationships. I also integrate Narrative Therapy, which supports clients in exploring and re-authoring their stories, especially after experiences of substance use, family distress, separation, or trauma. Together, we work to separate clients from problem-saturated narratives and to build new, empowering stories grounded in resilience, agency, and meaning.
My passion lies in working with couples and children, as well as individuals and families impacted by substance use. I specialize in helping couples who may be questioning whether they want to continue their relationships, struggling with emotional or physical intimacy, or seeking to improve communication and rebuild trust. I also support children in navigating emotional challenges, building self-esteem, and fostering secure attachments with caregivers. For families affected by substance use, I provide a compassionate space to process pain, rebuild connection, and strengthen resilience.
While I have experience utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), biofeedback, and mindfulness, my clinical focus centers on emotionally focused and narrative approaches that promote healing through connection, self-understanding, and re-storying one’s life toward hope and growth.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my three dogs, exploring the beach and hiking trails, immersing myself in music, and cherishing meaningful time with family and friends. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside my clients on their journey toward growth, healing, and resilience.
